Wedding show : a premiere in Gabon !
Review of the presse - L'Union / 12&13 May 2001

For the first time in Gabon, all, among the most dynamic service providers and traders operating in the organisation of wedding ceremonies and the future of the newly-weds, opened their stands yesterday morning until sunday. Beyond the mere presentation of related products and services, the traditional players in this organisation came together to enable the citizens of Libreville to realise the wedding of their dreams.

As we are addressing the issue of marriage, and since any wedding celebration requires the presence of both the witnesses and guests surrounding the two spouses having chosen to tie they fates, there were at the front seat the city mayor and the Minister for the Promotion of women.
Since an event like this could not be marked without a demonstration, two one-day bride and groom - who looked like they were really considering a real marriage - successfully performed the simulation. Long live the newly-weds !
So, both Paul Mba Abessole and Angélique Ngoma inaugurated Libreville's first wedding exhibition. While the former represents civil authority, responsible for officializing a lawful relation, the latter illustrates marriage in the future and symbolizes the outcome of any union, that is family which is a society's mother cell.
As he ommended this timely initiative, the Mayor of Libreville underscored that marriage, which is the celebration of families (...), reflecting the willingness of two human beings to unite for their lifetime and live for eternity through their offsprings (…), is sometimes at issue today. A lot of people, he argued, who view it as a form of slavery rather than liberation, (wrongly) pour scorn on it, whereas it should constitute an act of exchange and mutual understanding. Yet the children born out of it are undoubtedly a foundation for our society's future. For her part, Angélique Ngoma spared no praise towards those who initiated the event as she recalled one of the essential missions assigned to her ministerial department in charge of tackling the problems facing families, namely to encourage every step that is geared towards the promotion and fullfilment of families.
The visit of the stands thus enabled the whole public to enjoy the products on display. Over the duration of the event, the exhibitors proposed discounts and promotional rebates for all activities involved in the organisation. Visibly, the organisers left no details unheeded. Official and administrative deeds with the precious advice by the Mayor of Libreville enshrined in a record book released to the public. Step by step, one could discover a great deal of other things packed in this first ewhibition.
The symbol of union, that is, wedding rings with the jeweller Dioum, the wedding announcements and photo-reporting with the printer Gabimp and 'le Must', presents and wedding lists as well as home equipment with CK2 and Electra, fashion of clothing with Moza Line, the ' Épouse belle Aurore' shop and Vicky Muzadi d'Astyl-mod's models, flowers and decoration with Exotica and Balloons, the pleasures of the mouth ( Rapotchombo hotel) and good food (Super-Gros and Le Palmier doré), honeymoons with Air Gabon, furnishings with… 'le Château du mobilier', and even a car decorated for the event as befits a genuine wedding, with Toyota Gabon.
And on top of all this, guests and the newly-weds chatted joyfully around a cocktail in a convivial mood as if for real….
